Thanks for kicking off the Summer Series with us on this unexpectedly beautiful Saturday! Just over 1,200 of Arizona’s toughest runners and walkers finished the 5K course at Papago Park this morning. You are awesome!

Luck of the Draw 8K Race Results
Thank you to all of you who joined us yesterday for the annual Luck of the Draw 8K! We hope you enjoyed the race!

Luck of the Draw 8K This Saturday!
We’re less than 36 hours from the start of the annual ARR Luck of the Draw 8K! Online registrations are now closed, but never fear— race day registration opens at 6:00 a.m. Come one, come all!
This race is also part of the Peoria Runners Series sponsored by Tortoise & Hare Sports.
If you’ve already registered for the race, your final instructions will be sent to your e-mail. For everyone else, here’s the basics:

6:00am Registration Opens
7:15am Registration Closes
7:30am Gun Time (8K and 2 Mile)
Overall and age group awards and raffle prizes will be handed out around 9:00am. Make sure you stay for the awards and enjoy our great post-race food and socialize with your fellow runners! Who knows, you may even win an age group medal.

Peoria Runner’s Series- First Race this Weekend!
ARR has partnered with the City of Peoria and Tortoise & Hare Sports to bring you the first ever Peoria Runner’s Series! The top 100 point earners in the series are entered to win airfare, hotel, and race entry for two into the 2013 San Francisco Half Marathon, along with other exciting prizes.
The series consists of 11 races from now until April 2013. Every finisher receives 10 points for participation and additional points are awarded for age division winners. Point standings will be listed on www.TortoiseAndHareSports.com.
The first race is the Pioneer Days 5K run this Saturday, April 14. This event also features the Tortoise & Hare Kids Mile.

South Mountain Classic Registrations
Online registration for Saturday’s South Mountain Classic 20K and 5K is now closed. Race day registration opens at 6:30 a.m. and payment is via cash or check only.
Please note that all runners and spectators will be required to show a vehicle pass to be admitted to the park. This pass will be e-mailed to all race entrants. For race day entries, the pass will be available online tomorrow morning.
